About Kate

Kate Kuhn, founder of Bloom Yoga, teaches and practices vinyasa flow yoga with a focus on compassion, curiosity, integrity, alignment, and a healthy dose of humor.  She believes that our experiences on the mat have so much to teach us about our lives off the mat. Her style is nurturing and creative, and she encourages individuals to evolve in their practice in their own way, at their own pace. Her classes use a variety of music to encourage a happy, peaceful, grateful heart. She teaches group classes and private/semi-private sessions and leads yoga retreats nationally and internationally.

In 2011, Kate earned her 200-hour certification at Tranquil Space in Washington DC, and in 2019 she earned her 500-hour certification from Jason Crandell in San Francisco, CA. She acknowledges with gratitude all of the teachers who have shared their wisdom with her through the years.

Kate is a certified Ayurvedic Health Advisor. She works with clients individually to incorporate these powerful health practices to help achieve maximum vitality. She also leads groups in Ayurvedic workshops and retreats.

Kate lives with her husband and their Redbone Coonhound named Dolly in Ann Arbor, Michigan. She is the mother of two grown sons who bring her so much joy, mother-in-law to two beautiful daughters-in-law, and loving grandmother to two granddaughters who keep her on her toes and smiling!

She is deeply grateful for the practices of yoga and Ayurveda for helping her navigate this tremendous gift of life with an open heart, spacious body, and gentle mindset.

Kate holds the Yoga Alliance certification:
Experienced-RYT 500 hour

Kate also holds the Ayurvedic Health Advisor certification from Hale Pule Ayurveda and Yoga.
